Shamrock Hotel

Your guess is as good as mine as to why this is called the "Shamrock" Hotel, but I figured it was a good choice for St. Patrick's Day!  Despite the absence of leprechauns and a plate of  corned beef and cabbage, this is a great linen card with a really cool pool and diving platform!

LOL I can see why you were wondering why this hotel carries that name! Indeed, it is perfect for this weekend's St. Patrick's celebration!

Have a lovely St. Patrick's Day (don't forget to wear green)and Happy PFF!

I don't know why it was called the shamrock hotel either. I do know there was quite the controversy when the building was destroyed. Unfortunately, it was located too close to the Texas Medical Center and was too *old*. Sad. Happy St. Patrick's Day and Happy PFF!

Perhaps the original owners were Irish?
That is one serious diving platform!
